- What is JACK?
- JACK is TradeWaka's built-in AI assistant. You describe a job out loud — or type it — and JACK writes it up as organised job information, a quote draft and a scope of work for you to review.
- How does it work?
- You record a voice note or write a site note in TradeWaka. JACK transcribes it, reads it in trade language, and prepares drafts: customer details, job information, quote line items and a scope of work.
- Does JACK send quotes or make decisions for me?
- No. Everything JACK produces is a draft. Nothing is priced, approved or sent to a customer until you review it and choose to send it. JACK prepares, you review.
- Can I use JACK on my phone?
- Yes. TradeWaka runs in the browser on your phone, tablet and computer, so you can record a note on site and review the draft wherever you like. There's nothing to install.
- Is JACK included on every plan?
- Yes. JACK is included on every plan and is unlimited for all businesses during the TradeWaka beta. There are no separate per-use AI charges on top of your plan.
- What happens when I reach my monthly allowance?
- Your JACK allowance resets at the start of each monthly period. If you reach it before then, the rest of TradeWaka keeps working — jobs, quotes, invoices and the customer portal are unaffected. To keep using JACK straight away, move to a plan with a larger allowance.
- Does JACK handle GST, deposits and variations?
- JACK drafts the line items; TradeWaka does the rest. Quotes and invoices calculate GST at 10% on what you enter, you can invoice a deposit or a stage rather than the whole job, and extra work found on site is recorded against the job as a variation. Whether your business charges GST is a question for your accountant.
- What if JACK gets something wrong?
- Every draft is editable before it goes anywhere. If a measurement, material or price isn't right, you change it in TradeWaka like any other job record. If something looks off, contact support from inside the app and we'll take a look.
